# Obtaining snapshots

Direct connection allows you to take video snapshots and video clips.
A snapshot is an image saved as a picture of the moment of the video currently being viewed.

## Obtain a snapshot at any given time

1. Click the Take Snapshot button ( ![](https://amnimo.com/manual/edge_gw/evms/ja/assets/images/image221.png)).

2. Select the date and time on the timeline bar, enter any name for the snapshot, and then click Get.

## Obtain a snapshot of the camera image being displayed
