# Detecting cameras

If a camera is already connected to the device, the camera will be detected automatically once the device is activated. If a camera has been detected, go to "(3) Configure camera authentication and recording".

1. Click the ![](https://amnimo.com/manual/edge_gw/CloudVR/ja/assets/images/image179.png) icon next to the device, then click Gateway Settings.

2. ［Click on "Other" and then "Camera Detection".

3. Click "Yes" on the confirmation screen.

4. Confirm that the camera appears in the sidebar. (Thumbnails will not appear until a snapshot is taken.)
