This section provides an overview of the CLI dedicated to the Edge Gateway series.
About Operation Modes #
The following three types of CLI operation modes exist for this product.
The operations that can be performed differ depending on the operation mode.
- Please refer to "CLI Functions Supported in Each Mode" for the operations that can be performed in each operating mode.
General User Mode
General user mode is the mode in which users belonging to the user group can operate.
operations necessary to manage the operation.
Immediately after the amsh program is executed, the system is in general user mode.
administrator mode
Administrator mode is the mode in which users belonging to the admin group can operate.
In addition to general user mode operations, the user can control the product (reboot the product, control various ports, etc.).
Executing the enable command in general user mode will switch to administrator mode.
Setup mode
Configuration mode is the mode in which users belonging to the admin group can operate.
You can check and configure various settings.
Enter configuration mode by executing the configure command in administrator mode.
About Command Prompt #
The command prompt display depends on the hostname and mode of operation. Following the configured host name, "$" (dollar) is displayed for general user mode and "#" (sharp) for administrator mode. In the configuration mode, "(mode directory name)" appears before the "#".
