Precautions for Wireless Communications #
- This compact router can only be used with equipment that is compatible with the destination.
- Since this Compact Router complies with the technical requirements of each country, you may be penalized by law if you do any of the following
- Disassembling or modifying this compact router
- Peeling off the equipment label
- Use of antennas other than the specified optional ones
- Communication may not be possible in the following locations due to radio wave reflection.
- Where strong magnetic fields, static electricity, and radio interference occur
- Rooms with metal walls (including concrete walls with metal reinforcement embedded within), inside cabinets, etc.
- Do not install or use wireless devices in areas where their use is prohibited, such as in airplanes or hospitals.
- Compact routers with wireless LAN are capable of using radio waves in the 5 GHz band; outdoor use of W52 and W53 radio waves is prohibited by radio laws. If W53 and W56 are selected, the following restrictions apply according to the law.
- Before starting communication for each channel, radar wave detection is performed for 1 minute, during which time communication is not possible.
- If radar waves are detected during communication, the channel is automatically changed and communication may be interrupted.
- Compact routers with wireless LAN can use the 2.4 GHz band.
The following operate in this frequency band- Industrial, scientific and medical equipment such as microwave ovens
- Other similar radio stations
- Mobile radio stations for mobile identification that require a license for use on factory production lines, etc.
- Specified low-power radio stations that do not require a license
- Amateur radio stations requiring a license
- Before using the compact router’s wireless LAN, make sure that no other wireless stations using the 2.4 GHz band are operating nearby.
Compact routers with wireless LAN are wireless facilities and can bypass the bandwidth of mobile identification devices.

Security precautions when using wireless LAN security #
Instead of using LAN cables, wireless LANs use radio waves to exchange information between PCs and wireless LAN access points, thus offering the advantage of free LAN connections as long as radio waves are within range.
On the other hand, since radio waves can reach all locations within a certain range, beyond obstacles (walls, etc.), the following problems may occur if security-related settings are not made.
- Communication contents can be intercepted.
A malicious third party may intentionally intercept radio waves and intercept the contents of communications such as the following.- Personal information such as IDs, passwords or credit card numbers
- Email Content
- Unauthorized Intrusion
A malicious third party may access your personal or company network without your permission and do the following and more.- Extracting personal or confidential information (information leakage)
- Communicates by impersonating a specific person and disseminating unauthorized information
- Rewriting the contents of intercepted communications for transmission (tampering)
- Destroying data and systems by spreading computer viruses, etc. (destruction)
Essentially, wireless LAN products have security-related mechanisms in place, so by configuring them and using the product, the likelihood of these problems occurring is reduced.
We recommend that you use the product with security settings at your own discretion and responsibility, with full understanding of the problems that may occur if the product is used without security settings.
If a security problem occurs due to failure to implement security measures or unavoidable circumstances in the specifications of the wireless LAN, we will not be liable for any damage caused thereby.
